ANCHORAGE - The body of a Palmer man was found in an alley at the foot of the J.C. Penney parking garage in downtown Anchorage.

The body of the 22-year-old man was found early Sunday morning.

The man was identified as David Lee Souza-Moffett. He died of severe trauma.

Anchorage police spokesman Paul Honeman said the man was out going to bars and clubs and got separated from his group.

Honeman said police are awaiting results of an autopsy to get a better idea about whether the injuries were consistent with a fall from the parking garage, or some other cause.
