JUNEAU - A second attempt to rescue a hiker stranded on a glacier near Haines was again thwarted by weather Tuesday.

A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Sitka is attempting to pick up Kyle Dungan, 28, who has been stranded on Meade Glacier in the Tongass National Forest east of Haines since Sunday.

Weather, mainly dense fog creating no visibility hindered the helicopter crews attempts to safely hoist him.
