Four local writers, four local directors, four teams of local actors, 12 hours to write, 12 hours to stage — one packed day of original Juneau theater
To be a part of this unique experience and participate in local theater with only a one-day time commitment, sign up for the Juneau Douglas Little Theatre’s 24-Hour Miracle Theater Challenge.¿ The theater is currently looking for actors, assistant directors, stage crew, sound/lights tech, costumers, and properties managers. No prior experience is necessary; learn as you go.¿
The clock starts running at 8 p.m. Friday, March 25. Participants will meet at 7:30 p.m. to pick teams out of a hat; scripts are due at 8 a.m. on Saturday; curtain rises at 8 p.m. that night. You can sign up until the moment teams are picked, but advance notice is preferred.
Past 24 Hour Miracle plays have gone on to be performed at Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez and on Perseverance Theatre’s 2nd Stage; past participants have gone on to work together on various theater, film, and other projects.¿
