Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested Kevin Smith, 42, on a charge of drunken driving at 12:36 a.m. Thursday on Douglas Highway and Cordova Street. They released him and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

• Police arrested Matthew Piantoni, 22, on a charge of drunken driving at 12:44 a.m. Thursday on Mendenhall Loop Road near university housing. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.


• A boy, 14, reported at 9:38 p.m. Wednesday that he was assaulted by two men or boys near Foster Avenue in the Douglas area.


• Tools valued at more than $2,000 were reported stolen at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of Douglas Highway.

• At 11:33 a.m. Thursday, a woman's diamond wedding ring valued at $300 was reported stolen about a week ago in the 5800 block of Lemon Street in the Lemon Creek area.

Vehicle burglaries:

• The faceplate for a car compact disc player and a rearview mirror were reported stolen were reported stolen at 12:22 p.m. Wednesday in the 8800 block of Glacier Highway near the airport. Damage to the inside of the vehicle was estimated at $300.

• An unlocked 1994 Volkswagen was reported at 3:24 p.m. to have been moved out of a car port in the 4400 block of Columbia Boulevard in the Mendenhall Valley. A wallet and 12 CDs were reported stolen from it.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a man, 21, on charges of driving without a license and failing to yield at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Fifth and Main streets downtown after an accident involving the 1995 Pontiac he was driving and a 1999 Ford, driven by a woman, 67. Damage was estimated at $3,500 to the Ford and $500 to the Pontiac.

Hit and run:

• At 3:41 p.m. Wednesday, a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am was reported to have been hit by an unknown vehicle in the 300 block of Willoughby Avenue downtown.

Traffic stops:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 10 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue after citing the driver, a woman, 30, on a charge of driving without a license.

Calls related to domestic violence: 0.

Calls related to alcohol: 2.
