Shareholders live lives of unsatisfied debts

Posted: Thursday, March 11, 2010

Sealaska Corp. tribal member shareholders are united in their quest to secure acreage owed for a debt unpaid on behalf of the federal government and the people of the United States since 1971. Nearly four decades have not satisfied this debt totally.

To date, nearly 5,000 shareholders have passed away and will never realize the land claims settlement fully. They lived lives of an unsatisfied debt and also died on our tribal unpaid debt. On behalf and out of respect of the precious members past and present, this tribal member would like this debt settlement satisfied thru S. 881.
