Sonja Jean Ray died March 7, 2010 in Juneau.
Sonja was born in Walla Walla, Wash., where she lived for 19 years before moving to her beautiful, much-loved Alaska. Sonja was the fourth child. He family remembers her for her charm and wonderful laugh.
She attended Prescott High School, Walla Walla Community College and the University of Alaska Southeast.
Ray had lived in Juneau for five years, where she worked as a youth counselor.
Ray is survived by her father, Rich Ray, her mother, Linda Ray, sisters: Brenda, Caroline and husband Chas, Salina, Ida Marie and Collett; brothers, John and Holden; two nieces, Madison and Samantha, and two nephews, Logan and Aden.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Henry's Food, 9109 Mendenhall Loop Road.
