Juneau fish processor heads ASMI board: Sandro Lane of Juneau was elected chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute at a recent board meeting in Juneau.

Lane is president and founder of Taku Smokeries and Taku Fisheries of Juneau. He was appointed to the ASMI Board in September by Gov. Tony Knowles and also served on the ASMI Salmon Marketing Committee.



Also at the meeting, fisherman Jim Kallander of Cordova was elected vice-chairman. Others elected to the ASMI Executive Committee were: Rose Heyano, commercial fisherman, Dillingham; Gary Slaven, commercial fisherman, Petersburg; Jay Stinson, commercial fisherman, Kodiak; Doug Van Devanter, Trident Seafoods, and Bob Waldrop, Norquest Seafoods.

Clark completes masters program: N C Machinery's Juneau office recently announced employee Erik Clark completed the Caterpillar Masters Program.

Caterpillar Masters promotes and recognizes the role of the product support sales representative as a business consultant to the customer - a provider of solutions that helps differentiate Caterpillar products and services.
