Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Items worth about $1,250 were reported stolen from a Toyota Tacoma truck parked near the Mendenhall River greenbelt at 10:48 a.m. Wednesday. Damage to the truck's passenger window was estimated at $500.

• A black leather wallet was reported stolen from a unlocked locker near Willoughby Avenue at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

• A red bicycle valued at $250 was reported stolen from Riverwood Drive at 9:41 p.m. Wednesday. The bicycle was later found damaged and in a ditch.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• An unlocked Honda Accord was rifled sometime Tuesday night on Skywood Lane. Nothing was missing from the car.

• Someone entered an unlocked black Chevy truck parked on Riverside Drive, according to a report Wednesday afternoon. Nothing was stolen.

Vehicle accidents:

• A Toyota Tundra driven by a man, 34, was involved in a minor accident with a black van at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at Trout Street. Damage to the Tundra was estimated at about $500. No one was injured.

• A man, 20, was cited for failure to yield when his 2002 Honda hit a 1995 Ford driven by a man, 42, at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Yandukin Drive. No one was injured in the accident. The Honda had $2,000 in damage and the Ford had $750 in damage.

• No one was injured when a man, 19, lost control of a blue 1988 Ford Mustang and went into a North Douglas Highway ditch at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday. The driver was cited for speeding. The vehicle had about $1,000 in damage.

Hit-and-run incidents:

• A woman, 39, reported her 1994 Isuzu was hit by an unknown vehicle between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday on Mendenhall Mall Road. The right front side of the Isuzu was damaged. An estimate was not available.
