Murkowski's comment says it all

This is in response to the article titled "Murkowski may have misused jet" in Monday's Juneau Empire.

Sound off on the important issues at

What a revelation!

I'm sure former Gov. Frank Murkowski did misuse his powers because he says he can do whatever he wants.

Personally, there comes a time for payback.

If any state employee misused state property, the employee would get the third degree and his pay check would be garnished until all debts were cleared.

Murkowski's comment in the article says it all: "As a general rule, if Nancy doesn't go, I don't go. That's the way it was in the Senate for 22 years, and that's how it will be as long as I'm governor."

Murkowski has to pay it all back including his wife's airfare, which seems only fair and just.
