Police and fire blotter

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Hit-and-run incidents:

Police received a report about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday that a 1979 blue Ford pickup had been struck by an unknown vehicle during the night on David Street. Red paint was left on the front fender.

Other:

Police received numerous calls about 5 a.m. Wednesday regarding a high-pitched squealing noise coming from the area of Glacier Spur Road. Two citizens determined it was coming from the plow on a truck scraping against the pavement. The truck was gone upon the arrival of police.
