Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


Police responded about 6:45 p.m. Thursday to a request for medical assistance on Village Street. After further investigation, a man, 50, was placed under citizen's arrest at 3 a.m. today at Bartlett Regional Hospital on two charges of assault. Alcohol was involved. The suspect was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts, lost and found items:

About 4:15 p.m. Thursday, a dark brown wallet was turned in at the police station. The wallet was found at Juneau-Douglas High School.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, a man, 51, reported losing his brown leather tri-fold wallet in the area of Carrs. The wallet contained $257 in cash and miscellaneous credit cards.

About 10:45 p.m. Thursday, a man, 49, reported the theft of his backpack from his vehicle on Sunset Street. The backpack contained a cassette player, an AM/FM headset, headphones, and miscellaneous other items. Total value of the stolen items is about $90. There were neither leads nor suspects.
