Home for the fast ferry

Posted: Tuesday, March 16, 2004

Work progresses on the berth that will accommodate the Fairweather, a new, 235-foot fast ferry. The Fairweather, which is sailing to Alaska from its Connecticut shipyard, was in Acapulco, Mexico, as of Monday, after clearing the Panama Canal earlier this month. The ship is due in Juneau on May 1 and will be in service by mid-May.
