• On March 5, 2006, a daughter, Madison Elizabeth May, weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces, to Erin Nicole Rackley and Darrin Curtis May of Juneau.

• On March 6, 2006, a daughter, Isabella Elizabeth Defreest, weighing 8 pounds 6 ounces, to Jacquelyn Lauren Defreest and Patrick William Defreest of Douglas.

Court records show the following legal actions among those taken recently in Juneau Superior and District courts.

Divorces and dissolutions filed recently:

• Deborah Wortheimer and Keith Wortheimer.

• Thomas Harman and Glory Harman.

Indictments:

• Phillip G. Dutton, 43, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of third-degree assault, stemming from alleged actions on March 2.

• Veronica A. Cary, 24, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of issuing a bad check, stemming from alleged actions on July 26, 2005.

• David J. Grant, 41, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of driving under the influence, stemming from alleged actions on March 3.

Judgments:

• Marcus M. Willard, 28, was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault, stemming from actions on May 21, 2004. Juneau Superior Court Judge Patricia Collins imposed nine years in prison with another four years suspended. She also placed him on probation for five years, ordering him to participate in sex-offender treatment while in prison and on probation. State law will require him to maintain sex-offender registration. Collins also ordered Willard to serve 21 months in prison because of a 2002 conviction for third-degree sexual assault.

• Shawn D. Blumenshine, 26, was found guilty of felony third-degree assault, stemming from a July 2, 2005, incident that initially led to a felony charge of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor. Collins imposed seven months to serve in prison with an additional 17 months suspended. She also placed Blumenshine on probation for three years.

• Alan C. Eisele, 29, was found guilty of first-degree vehicle theft, stemming from a June 24, 2005, incident. Collins imposed two years in prison and suspended a $5,000 fine. She also ordered Eisele to pay $4,580 in restitution and placed him on probation for two years.

• Michael D. Johnson, 23, was found guilty of felony second-degree theft, stemming from a July 25, 2005, incident. Prosecutors dismissed additional charges of felony second-degree robbery and misdemeanor fourth-degree assault. Collins imposed one year to serve in prison with three additional years suspended and placed Johnson on probation for three years.

• Ernest Ellison, 43, was found guilty of a felony charge of failure to submit to a chemical test while suspected of drunken driving, stemming from actions on June 10, 2005. Juneau Superior Court Judge Larry Weeks imposed eight months to serve in jail with another 16 months suspended, fined him $10,000 and permanently suspended his driver's license. He also placed Ellison on probation for three years.

• Kristina A. Benson, 27, was found guilty of misdemeanor third-degree theft, stemming from a Dec. 24, 2005, incident that initially led to a felony charge of second-degree theft. Collins imposed four months to serve in jail with another eight months suspended and placed Benson on probation for three years.

• Austin L. Lanz, 21, was found guilty of two counts of misdemeanor attempted fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, stemming from an Aug. 17, 2005, incident that initially included a felony charge of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. For each of the two counts, Weeks imposed three months to serve in jail with another nine months suspended. He also placed Lanz on probation for three years.
