As part of the University of Alaska Southeast’s spring arts and humanities series, “Sound + Motion,” the Alaska State Library Historical Collections will present its second annual “Film Treasures from the State Library” on Friday, March 18.

Join the staff of the Alaska State Library Historical Collections at 7 p.m. in the UAS Egan Lecture Hall.

The program will feature a collection of short films from the library’s historical film and video collections, including vintage Alaska Airlines TV commercials; an animated tale, based on an Inuit legend about the raven; and the award-winning, World War II documentary, “Report from the Aleutians,” by famed Hollywood filmmaker John Huston.
