HoopTime AAU Basketball will hold the 12th annual Mike Jackson Memorial Shootout Tournament March 23-26 at Thunder Mountain High School, Floyd Dryden Middle School and Glacier Valley School.

The tournament will feature 30 teams from across the state, particularly teams from Southeast Alaska. This tournament is the largest in the state, and the HoopTime program has an average of 140 fourth- through eighth-grade participants from Juneau in each session. The tournament also brings many parents and spectators to Juneau, who in turn help the town’s economy, especially in industries of travel, food services, community schools, hotel, shopping and entertainment. They will also help with support for the tournament as far as facilities operation and game operation personnel. HoopTime also helps sponsor the HoopTime/Rebounders tournament for all of the middle schools in Southeast Alaska in Juneau. Please visit the website at hoop-time.org for more information and more about our mission. You can also call Bob or Shelly Saviers at 723-8309 for questions, sponsorship or donations to keep this program successful. The public is gratefully invited to watch these games to see the best players and coaches, and especially to see the teams and faces of the future. HoopTime thanks its previous board members, coaches and sponsors, such as RM Engineering, Morris Engineering, TBC Office Supplies, Western Auto, the T-Shirt Company, Tlingit Ink Designs, Sealaska, Community Schools, all of our current board members, parents, coaches and players coming to the tournament.
