In response to John S. Sonin's letter to the editor published in Thursday's Empire: I would like to humbly suggest our prayers for this nation be used wisely. Instead of using our time and energy trying to find things to be negative about regarding our new president, we should be hoping and praying President Bush can, with God's help, bring this country up from the depths of disgust we visited during the previous presidency. My prayers are for the return of a sense of pride, integrity, honesty and morality to this country. In my opinion, God did bless this country the moment G.W. Bush became president. I sincerely hope our new president, leading by example, will be able to repair the damage done to the fiber of our country by his predecessor.
