Juneau resident Ronald David Gleaton, 53, died March 14, 2003, in Seattle.

He was born Oct. 4, 1949, in Oregon. His family moved to Juneau from Oregon 14 years ago. He worked for the city for the past 14 years.

His family said he loved Alaska very much, especially the hunting, fishing and everything to do with the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years Debbie; sons Michael (Cathy), Leon (Heather) and Shelton (Blair), all of Juneau; daughter Veronica of Redding, Calif.; grandchildren Michaela, Erica, Tristan, Garrett, Keersten, Christopher, Sara, and Alicia; brothers Jim (June), Ray (Connie), Larry (Leeza) and Ben (Elaine); sister Vickie; stepfather Bernie; cousin Jimmy Thomas; the Hulse family, the Lee family, the Burnette family, and others.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
