The Chilly Ridge Rounders, a three-piece bluegrass band from Haines, will play an acoustic set from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at the Friendly Planet, near Second and Seward streets.

Admission at the door is $5.

The Rounders are Burl Sheldon, guitar and vocals; Steve Ritzinger, bass and vocals; and Eric Holle, banjo, mandolin and vocals.

Juneau's Bob Banghart will sit in on fiddle. He's played with them a few times, including an appearance at the Alsek Music Festival in Haines Junction, Yukon. Holle and Banghart play in the Sofa Kings.

"People who are into bluegrass would like these guys," Banghart said. "They have a very tight sound and a very interesting book for bluegrass bands.

"This is a big treat," he said. "We don't get bands from Haines all the time."
