I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Sexton of Utah. There must be the predators to control over-populations of any animal. There is only so much food to go around. If populations get out of balance, then what happens? Animals starve and die, that's what. Nature was here long before man came and applied his dominance; she seemed to do just fine without us.
The arrogance of man's idea of knowing what is best for the Earth sickens me.
How about controlling the human population? We seem to think that there is an endless supply of resources. Take a good look around. We take and take and take. Yes, there are some people and organizations that try to keep in mind that "we" are the caretakers of this planet, and they do their best to conserve and show respect. Sadly, there are too many more who take for granted that all is limitless. They give no thought to their actions. We are losing this "Big Blue Marble" surely as I'm writing this, due to over-population. Every child born is going to use up these resources, as will their children and their children. Where does it end? If past history of mankind is any indication, our Mother Earth is doomed. This isn't negativity; it is simply reality.
The reason the Earth is constantly out of balance is because of man, not the animals.
How about a balance between man and Earth? Aren't we the ones with the big brain and high intelligence? Wake up people, it may already be too late.
