Having a bad boss can be a drag, but Robin Bond, a workplace legal expert in Wayne, Pa., says there are things you can do to make things better. "You can only be 50 percent of any relationship," says Bond. "However, you need to accept 100 percent of the responsibility for your 50 percent. The most important first step is to conduct a thorough self-assessment. Ask for example, 'Could I be part of the problem? Am I on-target with my goals? Am I focused, proactive, and effectively communicating with my boss?'"
