JUNEAU - KTOO 104.3 FM will air a special radio program, "Letters from the North," a showcase of Alaska writers, storytellers and poets, at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25.
Each show explores a theme. This week's theme is work. The songwriting of Juneau musician and house painter, Buddy Tabor, is featured in a special interview with Jonas Lamb. Other features include poetry by Katie Bausler and Jonas Lamb; a fishing story by Therese Harvey; Mark Gnadt, of Barrow, reads an essay about the toughest (and youngest) boss he ever worked for; Ginny Mahar shares an essay about her stint as a cheese monger; and Evelyn Richards asks some children that never-ending question: What do you want to be when you grow up?
This quarterly, one-hour program is produced in the studios of KTOO in Juneau by Ginny Mahar, Jonas Lamb and Evelyn Richards. To hear archives of past shows or find submission guidelines for future shows, visit lettersfromthenorth.wordpress.com or e-mail them at email@example.com.
