Earthquake shakes Alaska Peninsula

CHIGNIK - An earthquake occurred Tuesday in the Alaska Peninsula region near the town of Chignik.
The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 4.7 and was centered 63 miles east of the town. It occurred at 1:35 a.m. There were no reports that the quake was felt or caused any damage.
