Longtime Juneau resident John S. Renton died March 15, 2009, in Juneau. He was 56.
Born Oct. 27, 1952, he was a Juneau resident for 33 years.
He owned Pizza Pizzazz in Ketchikan from 1976 to 1986, then moved to Juneau and began working for the state of Alaska as a network specialist until retirement in 2008.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Vera Renton.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa McIlwaine and husband, Sam, of Hanford, Calif., and Shannon Renton and fiancé, Robert Harris Jr., of Juneau; grandchildren, Maximus Harris, of Juneau, Genoveva McIlwaine, of Hanford, Calif., and Robert Harris III, of Juneau; and brothers, William Renton and wife, Sherri, of Priest River, Idaho, and Robert Renton and wife, DeeDee, of Waldport, Ore.
