A grand re-opening for Skate Bottom Sound under the new name Studio A is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. March 30 at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center.

The evening includes a concert with some of Juneau's best musicians and a dance, and serves as a benefit to help with construction costs for Albert McDonnell's upgraded recording studio. Admission is $5, and kids get in free.

A handful of the bands and artists that have recorded with McDonnell over the years are scheduled to perform at the benefit, including Buddy Tabor, Sean Tracey and Friends, Kit and the Kaboodles, Rory Stitt, Leif Saya, The Bobb Family Band and Tony Tengs, as well as Colette Costa.
