Eaglecrest Ski Area is open every day though March 29. For updated snow conditions, call 586-5330.
The ski area has 143 inches of snow at the top and 38 inches at the base.
"The groomed corduroy is excellent machine packed powder, and off-piste is great powder snow," the ski area said Saturday.
Runs groomed Saturday were East Bowl, Williwaw, Otter Slide, Cheechako, Mother Lode, Sluice Box, Sundance, Ego, Lower Hilary's, Logjam, runout for Raven, Upper Sneaky, Sneaky, Trickster, Sourdough, Muskeg and Dolly Varden.
The Upper HildaTroy Loops and the Lower Meadow Nordic trails were trackset Saturday for classic and skate skiing.
Members of the Juneau Nordic Ski Club reported Saturday that Mendenhall Campground is half ice and half gravel, and needs at least six inches for skiing. The lake is not groomed but on Saturday it was over 16 inches thick and it has 112 to 2 feet of snow on the ice. Always stay away from the glacier face, Nugget Falls, Steep Creek and the outlet to the Mendenhall River as well as any small creeks that flow into the lake.
Parking on Skater's Cabin Road is only allowed on the west side beginning with the intersection of the entrance road to Mendenhall Campground all the way to the West Glacier Trailhead Parking Lot.
Dredge Lakes also is half ice and half gravel, the club reported Saturday.
