Driving while intoxicated:
Eugene Thompson, 27, was arrested shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday on Belardi Drive for drunken driving. Thompson was also charged with driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.10 percent. His vehicle was released at the scene to a woman, 26, who responded at Thompson's request. Thompson was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Assault:
Police arrested a man, 47, shortly after noon Tuesday on the Mendenhall Peninsula for domestic violence assault. He was lodged at state prison.
A woman, 37, reported Tuesday morning that her compact disc player was taken from her vehicle parked on Behrends Avenue sometime Sunday night.
A woman, 46, reported Tuesday afternoon that her wallet was taken out of her vehicle parked in the 9000 block of Glacier Highway sometime Monday night.
A man, 54, reported about 5:30 p.m. Monday that he had found a bicycle-powered recreational watercraft near Outer Point and Fox Farm Trail.
A girl, no age given, reported about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday that she had found a cell phone on Crow Hill Drive while walking to her school bus stop.
A woman, 75, reported shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday that there was a disturbance at her residence downtown. Police arrested an intoxicated man, 45, for domestic violence trespass. (A 50-year-old male relative of the man was arrested for domestic violence trespass on the same street Monday evening.) The man was lodged at state prison.
A man, 18, another member of the same family mentioned in the incident above, was arrested for trespassing about 10 p.m. Tuesday at the same address. Domestic violence was involved, police said. This suspect, too, was lodged at state prison.
A woman, 28, an employee of the Gastineau Humane Society, reported about 4 p.m. Tuesday that someone had left a small amount of marijuana at the society. It was retrieved by police and slated for destruction.
A silver Ford Escort and a red Jeep Cherokee Laredo four-by-four were involved in an accident just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Channel Drive and Egan Drive. Both vehicles were inbound. No one was injured. The Escort was driven by a boy, 17, who was cited. The Escort sustained $10,000 damage. The Jeep Cherokee sustained $2,000; its driver was a woman, 54. Traffic was held up briefly until the vehicles were towed.
