Odd choice on Our Alaska

Letter to the editor

As a registered voter of the great state of Alaska, I watched, with interest, a recent edition of Our Alaska with guest Joel Gilbertson. The program seemed informative, but why is Joel Gilbertson, Commissioner of Health and Human Services, commenting on the Governor's economic budget and fiscal plan for the state in the upcoming budget year?

What does Health and Human Services have to do with the economic plan for the state? When I saw Mr. Gilbertson listed as a guest, I was hoping to hear about issues and topics he was appointed to administer.

Perhaps Mr. Gilbertson's talents are being wasted in Health and Human Services? Perhaps we need someone more familiar with the real needs of Health and Human Services and not someone focused on Gov. Murkowski's economic and budget forecast?
