JUNEAU - Juneau People for Peace and Justice will host a community potluck at 5:15 p.m. today at Northern Light United Church.

In the beginning of a two-month speaking tour in Juneau, the Rev. Louie Vitale will present "Nonviolent Activism in a Violent World" at 6:15 p.m. during the potluck. Vitale also will present "Citizen Diplomacy with Iran" at 7:15 p.m. Monday at the University of Alaska Southeast Egan lecture hall.

According to member Judith Maier, Vitale recently returned to the United States following a citizens peace delegation to Iran.

"He'll be sharing insights and possibilities gleaned in Iran in his speech Citizen Diplomacy with Iran," she said.

The University of Alaska Southeast is co-sponsoring Monday's presentation with Juneau People for Peace and Justice.
