I just wanted to thank Juneau for helping out the Girl Scout Daisy Troop 7 on March 14 at Fred Meyer. I was one of the moms helping the girls sell cookies. I admit, I was a little nervous at the beginning of the sale, but after I saw the amount of support that was offered to us, I was able to relax and have fun.
Because of the people of Juneau, my daughter will always remember selling cookies with her troop and Gov. Sarah Palin. Your supportive words, donations and the cookies you bought contributed to what my husband and I are trying to achieve: raising a strong, sweet and independent girl.
My husband, Sean, is in the Coast Guard, so we move around a lot. We rarely see the strong community bonds that we see here in Juneau. I look forward to being a part of it for the next few years.
