Native Issues Forum open to public

Speakers at the Native Issues Forum Wednesday will be Sen. Bill Wielechowski, D-Anchorage, and Chris Tuck, D-Anchorage.

Among the issues expected to be discussed are funding for school meals, early education, energy and sexual trafficking, legislative staff said. There will also be questions from the public.

The forums, held several times during each legislative are open to the public. Doors open at 11:30, with speakers typically beginning at noon.

A lunch, provided by Abby’s Kitchen, is available for $10.

The forums are co-sponsored by the Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indians of Alaska and Alaska Native Brotherhood Camp No. 2.

The Andrew P. Hope ANB Hall is located at 320 Willoughby Street.
