Police and Fire

Juneau police and fire officials and state police reported:


• At about 1:45 p.m. Sunday, a 45-year-old woman reported that a 40-year-old woman assaulted her and stole prescription medication and cash in the 1700 block of Glacier Avenue.

• At about 11:20 p.m. Sunday, a 32-year-old man reported being assaulted by a 23-year-old man in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway. Alcohol was involved.

• At about 8:45 p.m. Sunday, a 21-year-old man was cited for drug possession on Second Street.

Drunken Driving

• At about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Tuili Faatoia, 48, was arrested and charged with drunken driving on Mendenhall Loop Road.

Driving without license

• At about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, a 29-year-old man was cited for driving without a license and driving against restriction on Fritz Cove Road. A 29-year-old woman was cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded.

• At about 12:45 a.m. Monday, a 19-year-old man was cited for driving against license restriction on Egan Drive. The vehicle was impounded.

Found property

• At about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, a backpack was found on Harris Street and placed in safekeeping.

• At about 8:50 a.m. Monday, a wallet was found in the 6200 block of Alaway Avenue.


• At about 7:40 a.m. Monday, a 42-year-old man reported the theft of his outboard motor worth $1,200 on Forest Lane.

• At about 8:20 a.m. Monday, a 48-year-old man reported his cell phone worth $400 stolen out of his unlocked vehicle.

Traffic accident

• At about 3:50 a.m. Monday, a vehicle went into the ditch on Poplar Avenue. The drive left the scene.


• At about 1:50 p.m. Sunday, vandalism on the Douglas Bridge was reported. Damage was estimated at $300.
