WASILLA - The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is looking for buyers for a pair of Palmer buildings that have seen better days.
One is the old city morgue. The other is a former administration building.
Assemblyman Pete Houston says Palmer has worked hard to spruce up the town and if the borough can't fix up the morgue and the administration building, it should let the private sector have a crack at it.
The administration building has figured into assembly discussions about expanding from its centralized Palmer headquarters.
But Assemblywoman Cindy Bettine says study after study came back saying that wasn't going to happen and even recommending demolition.
