Preserve beauty

Letter to the editor

Posted: Thursday, March 24, 2005

In response to Tony Woodrow's letter to the editor, I would like to say that it's not all about the convenience of people. It's also about wildlife and preserving the sanctity of our beautiful town. Once concrete and asphalt are poured and vehicle traffic ensues ...

Nothing is quite as beautiful, remote and peaceful. What makes living in Alaska unique? The fact that wildlife is free to enjoy non-disturbance of humanity overrunning its territory. If you want more roads, move down south!
