Riverbend Elementary School third-grader Lorenzo Malacas, 8, serves a dish of food to audience member Gina Stafford during a potlatch Thursday at the Alaska State Museum. Twenty-six second- and third-graders put on the event with the guidance of Indian studies instructor Goldie Barr. The 10-day course teaches traditional values, respect for elders and cultural customs.
