JUNEAU — Alaska’s unemployment rate fell slightly, hitting 7.6 percent in February.

That compares the revised January rate of 7.8 percent and 8.2 percent in February 2010.

Nationwide, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate last month was 8.9 percent.

The state labor department says the jobless rates both in Alaska and the rest of the country have steadily improved the last three months.
