Southeast Roadrunners -- Southeast Roadrunners-KTOO Day One Run: meet at 10 a.m. at the KTOO offices downtown at the armory, race starts 11 a.m. Race lengths are one mile and five kilometers, open to all walkers and runners. Fees are $5 for early registration, $8 day of race, $1 for kids. Info: George Elgee, 789-3178.

Juneau Alpine Club -- Cowee Meadows Ski Trip: This is a six-mile, six-hour, low-energy output trip on skis or snowshoes that could be a good Sub-Alpine Club Activity. Info: trip leader Bob Briggs, 790-4845.

Juneau Freewheelers cycling club meeting -- Meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, at the downtown library for the club's spring meeting. Topics include the Kluane-Chilkat relay, bike jerseys and bike-to-work day. Info: Dave Ringle, 790-7249.

Raincountry Flyfishers flytying course -- A four-week class on tying flies for fish in Juneau waters. Meets from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 10, 17 and 24, at Floyd Dryden Middle School library. Juneau 4-H running club -- Registration for a new youth running club will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, at the Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School Commons. The club is for runners in grades K-5 and will meet every Thursday through July 5 from 5-6 p.m. at locations to be announced. The club will have a final run on Saturday, July 7, during the Governor's Cup fun run. Local runners John and Jamie Bursell will lead the club, and volunteer coaches are welcome. Call the Bursells at 789-5997 to find out about the 4-H screening procedure. If there is interest for a middle school running club, contact the University of Alaska Cooperative Extension Service. Juneau Youth Football League Crimson Bears chorebusters -- The Juneau Youth Football League's Juneau-Douglas High School Crimson Bears annual chorebusters service is now taking reservations. Open Gyms

Youth open gyms -- From 8-11 p.m. on Saturdays (3/31 and 4/7) at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School, and from 8-11 p.m. on Fridays (3/30, no open gym on 4/6) at Floyd Dryden Middle School. No cost for students grades 5-12. Info: Community Schools, 463-1700, Ext. 325.

Adult volleyball/basketball open gyms -- at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School, Cost is $4. From 7-9 p.m. on Sundays (3/25 and 4/1) and Fridays (3/30). Volleyball/basketball court rentals available Saturday mornings. Info: Community Schools, 463-1700, Ext. 325.
