ANCHORAGE - A man from Canada received a two-year sentence for bringing drugs into Alaska.

Frederick Alexander McComber, of Nanaimo, British Columbia, was sentenced in federal court in Anchorage. Prosecutors said Thursday that he brought ecstasy and LSD into the state.

The 36-year-old man had previously pleaded guilty to the charges.

McComber conspired with a contact in Alaska to bring first ecstasy, then LSD into Alaska, prosecutors said. He was arrested last October when he came to Anchorage to receive payment for the drugs.
