March has been wetter than normal
JUNEAU - Juneau's weather has been pretty wet during March.
According to the National Weather Service, through Sunday 4.09 inches of rain had fallen this month at the Juneau Airport. That's almost an inch above normal. In the same period, downtown received 6.62 inches.
The Weather Service sees rain continuing, on and off, through the coming week.
During February, however, Juneau was warmer and drier than normal. Total precipitation of 1.59 inches was 2.16 inches below normal. Snowfall was 4.6 inches, or 14.5 inches below normal.
