I want to thank David Ottoson, owner of Rainbow Foods, for helping make a difference in Juneau and to our planet.

As of July 1, 2007, Rainbow Foods eliminated the use of single-use plastic bags in the store.

Later, they moved to using biodegradable carryout utensils. I see they are now using sugarcane-based carryout food containers instead of the lined paper or Styrofoam containers used by so many other food establishments.

Thank you for caring and changing your business practices to suit the needs of your customers and our desire to make a difference.
