Local jazz band Fleet Street is scheduled to perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4, for the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council's April Rent Party. The pay-as-you-can evening at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center includes a no-host bar.
Fleet Street - consisting of Doug Bridges on saxophone, Dave Ham on bass, Jim Noel on keyboards, Sandro Lane on guitar, Lee Hacker on drums and Vicki Van Fleet providing vocals - formed in Juneau in 1998.
The versatile band performs jazz and blues - both standard and contemporary - as well as original compositions.
The combo was chosen by the Alaska State Council on the Arts for inclusion in the 2004-05 Harper Performing Arts Touring Roster and has performed venues in Southeast and Southcentral Alaska, along with numerous venues in Juneau.
To attend the event you must be 21 or over, or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
