ANCHORAGE - Investigators are holding a public meeting on Friday in Dutch Harbor as part of a probe into the sinking of a fishing boat in the Bering Sea.
Four people aboard the Alaska Ranger died in the tragedy this weekend and a fifth person's body was never recovered.
The Coast Guard and National Transportation Safety Board are pursuing separate investigations of the sinking.
Coast Guard spokeswoman Sara Francis said the meeting with the Marine Board of Investigation on Friday will be headed by Coast Guard Capt. Michael Rand.
Coast Guard Lt. Eric Eggan said the meeting agenda includes a reconstruction of events, the operation and maintenance history of the vessel and how to prevent such incidents in the future.
