]Title and firm: Owner, GREAT NETspectations.
Services and products: Graphic design and digital photography for Web pages, business cards, television scanner advertisements; personalized apparel, including sports team shirts, T-shirts, hats and tote bags; and designs for gifts, including mouse pads, hats, watches and night lights.
Latest project: After working out of his home for a couple of years, Patrick Pennoyer recently moved into a storefront on the second floor of the Town Centre Mall downtown.
Biographical information: Pennoyer and his wife, Lisa, were long-term officers in the Salvation Army, with congregations in Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Washington state and, in Alaska, Eagle River and Sitka. Eventually, Patrick said in seeing so many people as a pastor, he found himself losing touch with people as individuals. Both he and his wife had roots in Juneau, and they decided to return in 1996. Since then, Patrick has worked at ABBA Commercial Engraving Signs & Graphics, Costco and Juneau Christian School, and he has worked various construction and painting jobs. He also has been involved in jail ministry. The Pennoyers ran a South Franklin gift shop for one cruise ship season but found the interaction with tourists largely superficial, he said.
Family: Patrick and Lisa have two children, Steven, 17, and Shelly, 15. Patrick's parents, Steven and Bonnie, and sister, Michelle, still live in Juneau.
Quote: ``I like being in business because you see people the way they are. You understand more of what they're going through.''
