Driving while intoxicated:
Scott Metlicka, 20, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. today on Egan Drive inbound for drunken driving. He was also charged with two counts of reckless endangerment of two passengers (men, 25 and 21) and driving with a blood-alcohol content over 0.10 percent. Metlicka was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center, and his vehicle was released to a man, 52.
Thefts, found property:
A man, 54, reported his cellular telephone was stolen from his unlocked truck parked on Dogwood Lane sometime Sunday night.
A citizen reported about 11:30 a.m. Monday that he found a go-cart in a ditch on Glacier Highway near Radcliffe Road a few days ago.
A woman, 39, reported about 11:30 p.m. Monday from Juneau-Douglas High School that she had a boy, 14, in custody for criminal trespass. The boy was transported to Cornerstone House.
Shortly before 2 p.m. Monday, a woman, 36, driving a 1990 Toyota Corolla ran into a 1996 Chevy truck driven by a man, 52, at the Vanderbilt intersection of Egan Drive. The woman reported her brakes had failed. The Toyota suffered $3,000 damage to its front end. The truck suffered $500 damage to its rear. No charges were filed.
Shortly before midnight Monday, a woman, 21, was arrested at the Penthouse Lounge on a $375 cash Juneau Police Department warrant issued for failure to appear for arraignment. She was additionally served a summons for criminal mischief. Alcohol was involved.
