I enjoyed the article on the chair fitness program. My problem: the grunting. It was two years ago during the Eagle/Raven walk. I never exercised ever. Why I started, I forget, but my improvements are: loss of inches, weight loss, changed pants and shirt size; when I bent down, my son had to help me back up. Not any more. Foot swinging is a natural, right? Wrong, with arthritis it's hard, but now I can do it. As for finger exercises, I said, "What is this?" Yet I checked it out. Glad I did; ring sizes went down one. The older you are, the less you move around and the more medical problems you have. My arthritis hangs around like a bad attitude and it hurts, but I exercise and it helps.
I would just like to say how nice it is to have Jason's new column in the Sunday paper. It's interesting, it's educational, it's entertaining; how nice. I hope we see a lot more of it.
