The Hydaburg boys basketball team made it back to the Class 2A state title game Saturday, but was unable to defend its crown.
The Warriors fell to a powerful Lumen Christi squad 49-33 late Saturday night in Anchorage. George Peratrovich led Hydaburg (18-4) with 14 points. Also Saturday, the Skagway girls lost to Galena 41-37 in the third-fifth place game.
Due to the space and time constraints, more details about the tournament will run later this week in the Empire.
