The U.S. Coast Guard cutter Anacapa sits Monday by the entrance of Deep Inlet during the first opening of the Sitka Sound sac roe herring fishery. The fishery opened at 4:10 p.m. and closed at 7 p.m., enough time for seiners to net 3,300 tons of sac roe herring, about a third of this year's quota.
