Gov. Sarah Palin signs House Bill 259 into law during a ceremony on Wednesday at the Alaska State Museum. The bill sponsored by Rep. Anna Fairclough, R-Eagle River, establishes Alaska History Week. "Alaska History Week will give schools, teachers and students the opportunity to celebrate our state through various activities and events," according to a governor's office press release.
