Thanks for getting in my announcement

I love my Juneau Empire. I have been a subscriber for more than 45 years. Recently I needed to place a public service announcement in the paper and had trouble sending it to the Empire via the Internet. So on Wednesday I brought in a "hard copy" of the Gathering of Women and Girls announcement for the events calender. Obviously that was too late for the column (I thought it was on Friday), but lo and behold there it was in the Around Town column the very next day. You simply didn't fail me. Thank you. Our gathering was a resounding success and an uplifting experience thanks to you.

And thanks also for all of our community broadcasting systems i.e. KINY, KJNO, KTOO, Channel 12, etc. that so willingly post announcements of upcoming events and for free. A wonderful service to our community! We don't know how lucky we are to live in such a giving city, but I have seen the good works in action. Thank you everyone.
