Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Burglary:

• A storage unit was reported broken into at 3:03 p.m. Monday in the 3500 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.

Theft:

• About 20 compact discs were reported stolen at 9:19 p.m. Monday from an unlocked vehicle near John Street in Douglas.

• A propane torch and coin collection were reported stolen at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.

Vandalism:

• Police cited a 25-year-old man at 6:58 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of criminal mischief in the 8600 block of Hayes Way in the Mendenhall Valley.

Vehicle accident:

• Police cited a 22-year-old man on charges of failing to yield from a stop and carrying no proof of insurance after an accident at 4:02 p.m. Monday. The man was driving a 1996 GMC Jimmy involved in an accident with a 2005 Chevrolet Astro van, driven by a 36-year-old woman. Damage was estimated at $2,000 to the GMC and $2,500 to the Chevrolet.

Hit and run:

• At 11:01 p.m. Monday, a black Jeep Cherokee reportedly hit four mailboxes near Fifth Street in Douglas and left the scene.

Traffic stops:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 1:16 a.m. Tuesday on Belardi Drive near Gull Way after citing the driver, an 18-year-old woman, on a charge of driving without a license.

• Police impounded a vehicle at 8:01 a.m. Tuesday on inbound Egan Drive about two miles from downtown after citing the driver, a 46-year-old woman, on a charge of driving without a license.

Underage drinking:

• Police cited a 19-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and two 17-year-old girls at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday on charges of underage drinking in the 8800 block of Glendale Street in the valley.

Calls related to alcohol: 2.
