ANCHORAGE - Police found a full bottle of vodka with the body of a woman discovered on the Delaney Park Strip in Anchorage.
Police say there were three empty liquor bottles near where the body was found Thursday afternoon by a man walking his dog.
Lt. Dave Parker says 53-year-old Florence Clark was face-down and partially covered by a coat next to a picnic bench. Her hands were drawn up underneath her. The body was hidden from street view by snow.
The Anchorage Daily News reports Clark listed the Brother Francis Shelter as her address. She had a history of alcohol-related trespassing and assault arrests.
Clark's is the first body found outdoors in Anchorage this year. Last year 13 homeless people died on Anchorage streets and parks.
